Program format:
This online learning experience provides you with six courses sequentially ordered, each course includes interactive content lessons, virtual instructor-led video lectures, a downloadable learning guide, non-graded practice questions and a final graded assessment to test your understanding of the material covered in this course. You will earn course badges as you complete each section, leading up to the full program badge if you earn all six course badges in the sequence.
You'll have access to a human instructor to answer your questions on the coursework, or schedule personalized virtual meetings with the instructor for one on one support to help you reach your goals in this program.
With this no-cost grant-funded offering, we've designed this program to be flexible, with no time limits or end dates through 2024. Complete the courses at your own pace that works best for your unique schedule.
Prerequisites:
There are no strict prerequisities to enroll in this program, but to get the most out of the learning we suggest some previous familiarity in the following topics:
- Basic comprehension of renewable energy sources and technologies.
- Interest in sustainability, energy efficiency, and technological advancements in the energy sector is beneficial.
- Solid foundation in chemistry, physics and mathematics. A
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and electrical systems modeling is beneficial.
- We recommend completing the Battery Technician program before enrolling in this advanced program.
