Learning Outcomes:

  • Describe the typical voltage discharge curves that characterize battery cells.
  • Describe and use equivalent electrical circuits for modeling battery cells.
  • Identify and explain the characteristic zones of the voltage profile of a battery during its discharge process.
  • Identify and extract parameters for battery models from manufacturer datasheets and apply them effectively.
  • Analyze and implement control techniques for DC-DC converters, including tuning both voltage and current controllers, to optimize battery performance.
