Please note: Enrollment in this course is currently limited to residents of New York State.
This course is available at no cost to participants for a limited time due to EDA grant funding.
Learning Outcomes:
- Describe the typical voltage discharge curves that characterize battery cells.
- Describe and use equivalent electrical circuits for modeling battery cells.
- Identify and explain the characteristic zones of the voltage profile of a battery during its discharge process.
- Identify and extract parameters for battery models from manufacturer datasheets and apply them effectively.
- Analyze and implement control techniques for DC-DC converters, including tuning both voltage and current controllers, to optimize battery performance.
